Photography Adventures in Scotland & Beyond

CAPTURING THE SPIRIT OF SCOTLAND

Providing Photography workshops tours and inspiring adventures in Scotland since 2009

Cianalas – the Gaelic word for homesickness or longing for home. It describes a deep and soulful ache for your home place.

So in 2009 your host and guide Glen Campbell packed up and returned home to the Scottish Highlands after a  13 year stint living and running workshops  in Australia.

Returning home with a swathe of awards including becoming an AIPP Master of Photography he set up  Lightstalkers Scotland.

The Goal then and  now is to share his passion, perspective and simplify the learning process.

By teaching by example and subtlety enabling his guests become their own teacher he builds confidence allowing each participant to tap into their own creativity.

For over 20 years Glen has built up a loyal following of fellow photographers and adventurer seekers.

Equipped with local knowledge and years of experience in dealing with the wild elements  of the Scottish  Highlands, Glen is totally client focused.

From the Scottish Highlands to New Zealand’s South Island, Europe and Botswana’s Okavango Delta , Glen has crafted itineraries that inspire and create lasting memories for his clients.

Scotland’s Highlands and Islands

Scotland has been drawing in visitors since the 19th century , its biggest draw being the majestic, wild and at times sublime landscapes. Shaped by ever changing weather, and bathed in magical light that combines with the landscape, at times can leave you lost for words. It’s a country with a long and colourful history from infamous Clan Battles, to the Highland Clearances that’s left many struggling to survive.  Every  piece  of this wild country has its own story and will leave the visitor wanting to return.

Lightstalker’s small group workshops and solo sessions combine tailored photography tuition and dramatic locations all over the magnificent Scottish Highlands and Islands.

“Top ratings  for this Really GREAT experience! First of all the Highlands are like a dream which is constantly re sculptured and redesigned by natural influences like rain, wind, clouds and sun. little this time) therefore no colour. Second, I never had to think about logistics, was knowingly taken to places, hotels, restaurants and got the historical background and some insider anecdotes all thanks to Glen’s passion and respect for his own country. Third, sharing this experience with strangers, at the beginning and friends at the end, makes it all more intense.”
