“The great thing about a Glen Campbell session is the generosity in which he shares his thought processes”.

Stalking the Light – Locations
There’s a lot packed into the largest region in the UK, which also has the smallest population, so there’s plenty space. The Highlands are wild, dramatic, accessible and all within easy reach of the Highland Capital Inverness, where I’m based. There are of course the classic usual suspects in Glencoe and the Isle of Skye as well as some other excellent locations that you may not be so familiar, with including Inverpolly, Assynt, Torridon, the Isle of Mull, the Cairngorm National Park and the Moray Coast, which was recently ranked amoung the world’s most breathtaking coastlines.
It’s not just the landscape that special either. The unpredictability of the weather can produce a wonderful quality of light in any season at anytime of day. I’m not going to try and discribe it, I couldn’t do it justice. So why not join me on location and experience the adventure of landscape photography in the Scottish Highlands for yourself, all you need is a camera, a little patience and a sense of adventure. I look forward to meeting you. GC

Learning Environment
A maximum of 6 participants makes for a more sociable learning environment: a smaller group means more individual attention. You’ll get more help with your camera and be introduced to my approach while sharing ideas and insights in the field. You’ll receive plenty of feedback on your images, ensuring you get the most out of the day. It doesn’t matter what type of camera you have, or whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned shooter. It’s never a competition and we work together.
We’ll be spending as much time as possible out shooting on location. If the weather makes things uncomfortable we’ll continue with indoor sessions and image critiques.
Your Accommodation
Location workshops accommodation is based on comfortable hotel accommodation and based on per-person usually with single occupancy ensuite rooms whenever possible. I try to offer convenient hotels and inns that provide good atmosphere, locally produced food, a sociable friendly environment, and good value whenever possible.
Featured accommodation venues may vary depending on season, availability and late bookings. You will be notified of any changes in the first instance. Alternative, convenient, and comfortable accommodation will be offered if this occurs. I will endeavour to accommodate other requests and preferences. Participants’ partners are welcome* but your own transport arrangements to the workshops may be necessary if space is limited. Some workshops are incusive of all meals where specified.
Highlander workshops offer B&B accommodation. Lunches and evening meals are at participants own expense.
Your Transport
You can make your own way to each venue and location but if you don’t have your own transport, I can offer a lift to the venue and to the specific locations in a comfortable Ford Galaxy MPV.
