Mount William NP and Bay of Fires a total contrast to the wild west, with idyllic beaches, vivid lichen covered boulders and moody seascapes at dusk.

Freycinet National Park Just a few miles south of the Bay of Fires, Freycinet features a rugged coastline with the glorious cresent shaped Wine Glass Bay ranked amoung the world's top ten beaches. Wake up to Sleepy Bay as it bursts into a kaleidoscope of colour at sunrise. The pink granite jagged peaks of the Hazzards which sit above Coles bay provide a stunning back drop in which to create some amazing images.

Tasman Peninsula We'll finish off the trip with a session around Eagle Hawk neck and the Tessellated Pavements.

Base - Gladstone 2 nights - Mount William NP and the Bay of Fires - The Picnic Rocks, Eddystone Lighthouse, Binnalong bay and The Gardens.

Base - Coles Bay, Freycinet National Park - 3 nights - The Hazzards and Wine Glass Bay, Friendly Beaches, Honeymoon and Sleepy bays .

Getting there

Own arrangements by air from Melbourne to Launceston or other state capitals with budget airlines Jetsar or Virgin Blue. Or take your car on the Spirit of Tasmania ferry from Melbourne (9hrs but great trip). Need help just ask.

Fitness Level

A reasonable degrees of fitness is required as some bush walking over varying levels of terrain for up to 1 - 2 hours at a time. Adequate hiking footwear essential .

Photography level -suitable for beginners , intermediate and advanced participants.
